-my (Jarrod’s) opinion on this is that they are going to come into our buildings regardless. We should encourage people to have up to date antivirus on their machines and allow them to connect to our wireless. They would have to follow the acceptable use agreement if they are on our network. Colleges and Universities use similar guidelines, in some cases they have a proxy gateway setup that you need to have an AD account setup but can apply for one for free. I’m not terribly interested in the proxy solution in the moment and would rather keep it “open”… Rick and I just chatted about this kind of thing and we are seeing quite a few ipod touch’s showing up on the dhcp so that throws in another layer to think about.
